The Universal Declaration of Organic Plant-Based Drugs

The Universal Declaration of Organic Plant-Based Drugs

Whereas humanity has long sought natural remedies for ailments and diseases;

Whereas plants have been used for medicinal purposes for millennia, providing countless benefits to human health;

Whereas the pharmaceutical industry has often prioritized profit over people, neglecting the potential of natural healing;

Whereas the misuse and overprescription of synthetic drugs have led to significant health problems and addiction;

Now, therefore, we, the people of the Earth, declare the following:

  1. The Right to Natural Healing: All people have the right to access safe and effective plant-based medicines.
  2. The Freedom of Research: Governments should support and encourage scientific research into the medicinal properties of plants.
  3. The Prioritization of Natural Remedies: Plant-based medicines should be prioritized over synthetic drugs, whenever possible.
  4. The Regulation of the Pharmaceutical Industry: Governments should regulate the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the safety and efficacy of both synthetic and plant-based drugs.
  5. The Protection of Indigenous Knowledge: Indigenous knowledge and practices related to plant medicine should be respected and protected.

We call upon governments, healthcare providers, and individuals to embrace the power of plant-based medicine and to work together to create a healthier and more sustainable future.
